If you know me, you know I film a few seconds of video everyday. I realize that sounds creepy but I try not to be creepy about it. At the end of the year, I edit the clips into a short video and post it to YouTube and SecondOfTheDay.com. It's extremely time consuming to do, but it's really fun (most of the time) and a great way to look back on the year. I've been filming daily since January, 1st 2102, some of the days are more interesting than others but in the big picture I think it's pretty cool. I may be biased though.
This year there was a hard drive failure and lost footage - mostly at the end of the year. I keep all of the footage on an external hard drive and the drive was corrupted when I mounted it. Usually I keep a backup on my computer but I didn't plug my phone into my computer to back it up for over 6 months... Back in my day you had to plug your phone into your computer any time you wanted to get anything off of it. These days I just text myself anything that needs to be on my computer. What a time to be alive.
